Case Study: Philadelphia Flower Show

Over the past year events have needed to reinvent themselves, becoming virtual or looking for larger outdoor space to accommodate greater social distancing. It was this second approach that led the Philadelphia Flower Show to move outside for the first time ever in its nearly 200 year history, moving from the Convention Center to FDR Park in south Philly.

Infinite Power was chosen as a partner to help with this transition and ensure that the event was a success. FDR Park does not have any power onsite, so building a full festival site from scratch was the first order of business. Working alongside other vendor partners as well as the shows operations and design staff, Infinite Power created a site power plan that would supply all necessary power while considering aesthetics, noise, and fuel management. Working alongside union electricians, Infinite Power installed over 20 generators, 7 miles of cable, 2 large tent Air Conditioning units, and over 100 distribution boxes to supply power to food suppliers and their kitchens, vendors, exhibits, and back of house operations, and more! The team at Infinite Power was onsite for over a month setting up the site, having a team onsite during the show for any emergency needs or changes, and to remove the site and return it to its normal park role. The show ended up being a great success, with the show receiving high praise for its first outdoor version! If you have an event that is heading outdoors for the first time or has been outdoors many times before let Infinite Power help you make it a great success!
